About Us

Oh, hello! We’re Alicia and Cielo, the two ladies behind Rock Paper Plant. We're non-profit unicorns by day and makers and teachers on nights and weekends. We firmly believe that everyone can benefit from tapping into their creative side. We also believe in the power of plants and that bringing the outdoors in makes everyone happier and healthier. We founded Rock Paper Plant to share these values with the fine folks of Washington, DC and beyond.

Credentials

We’ve taught over 70 classes in person and online and have collaborated on workshops with businesses across DC, including the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Equity Residential, Shop Made in DC, REWILD, Steadfast Supply, Common Living, Allsteel, Flow Yoga Center, Common Good City Farm, and The Lemon Collective.

Fun Facts

Rock Paper Plant is brought to you by a dedicated team that includes Alicia, Cielo, and our furry assistants: Wally and Smokey.

We’ve been friends for 10 years. We used to be roommates and threw fun theme parties complete with costumes and photo booths. 

03.

We might have a secret psychic connection, because we often unwittingly show up to the same place wearing identical outfits. 

 

04.

We both have curly black hair and a penchant for statement eyewear and bold earrings. We assure you that we are, indeed, two separate humans.
