Air plants, or tillandsia, are tiny natural wonders. In their natural environment, air plants grow on trees and take in water and nutrients entirely through their leaves. Learn how to create a beautiful wall-mounted display for your air plant.
In this virtual class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of air plant care and mount an air plant to a piece of lightweight cork bark.
Here's how it works:
This workshop is limited to 20 students.
This class will be taught virtually via Zoom. You will receive the Zoom info after you register.
We will mail students a kit with the materials you need to participate, including air plant, cork, hanging hardware, craft wire, and plant-safe glue.
You will need to provide your own needle nose pliers, Phillips head screwdriver, and wire cutter. Some pairs of pliers also have a wire cutter at the base. Large nail clippers can also work in a pinch.
You must register by April 30th to ensure your kit arrives in time.
Students will receive a link to an instructional video after the class.

When will I receive my materials?
We ship all kits using USPS Priority Mail. They typically ship 7-10 days before the class and arrive within 2-4 business days. We are budgeting extra time given COVID-related mail delays. If you are located outside the DMV, we recommend registering ASAP so we can mail your materials earlier.
