Celebrating Alma Thomas: A Virtual Art Workshop with NMAAHC

Join us and the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture for a very special art workshop.

Bring a piece of the museum's collection into your home in this virtual craft workshop. Join curator of African American Women's History, Angela Tate, and Rock Paper Plant as we explore artist Alma Thomas' painting, Spring--Delightful Flower Bed. During this engaging Zoom workshop, participants will hear about the artist and learn the basics of needle felting to make an Alma Thomas-inspired creation.

Space is limited. Tickets are only $20 thanks to our friends at the Smithsonian and include the cost of materials needed for the activity, instructions, and postage.

Participants must register by October 24 to ensure the materials kit arrives on time.
