Virtual Art Workshop with NMAAHC - Revolutionary

Join us and the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture for a special art workshop.

Join curator of African American Women’s History Angela Tate and Alicia Mazzara of our sister company, Fresh Pear Jewelry, as we explore Wadsworth Aiken Jarrell’s painting of Angela Davis, Revolutionary. In this workshop, you will learn how to create your own polymer clay trinket dish inspired by Jarrell’s piece. Learn about Revolutionary while forming your own trinket dish using colors and patterns inspired by the painting.   

Your ticket includes the cost of all materials needed for the activity, instructions, and postage. Materials kits will be shipped to participants in advance of the program. Participants must register by October 24, 2022, to ensure materials arrive on time.   
  
Materials kit includes:   

Polymer clay   
Acrylic roller   
Craft knife   
Depth guides   
Tissue blade   
Wet/dry sandpaper   
Super glue   
Bowl mold    
   
Participants will need to provide parchment paper, a cookie sheet, and a home oven to finish their dish.
